The Village Centre is an integral part of our Community, offering a place to visit for people with differing needs. It offers an excellent Coffee Shop, which is used regularly by people of all ages ranging from young children and their parents to elderly pensioners. It also provides Day Care facilities for the elderly on three days a week, a games room with pool table for a Youth drop-in, lounge, therapy room and the Chiltern room that can be hired for meetings and other events. The Chiltern room is fully equiped with tables, chairs and an Audio Visual facility.

The Centre was opened in 1993 and has staff of 3 full time and 6 part time employees, 80 volunteers, 160 Friends of the Centre and is open 6 days a week.
The cost of running the Centre is rising year on year but is currently covered by the Coffee Shop income, grants, donations and fundraising.
The life blood of the Centre is its volunteers, without whom we could not function. There is always a need for more volunteers in all areas of our work - Coffee Shop, Day Care, Youth, Office, Minibus escorts and car drivers. Any commitment is welcome, whether it is one hour per month or of course more. If you feel you might be interested you would be most welcome to visit the Centre and see us in action!
